Samsung NC 10 – in demand!
The Samsung NC 10 would appear to be the most popular Netbook around at the moment. After receiving rave reviews from various respected magazines, and blogs, the NC 10 has been in extremely high demand, and it’s obvious to see why.
Samsung NC 10 performance
The NC 10 just seems to get it all right. From the great little keyboard, and track pad, to the stunning 10.2″ screen which is great for browsing the web, viewing photo’s and videos, and even catching up on some work. The NC 10 really is the Netbook that others aspire to be.
Although not as pretty as teh Asus 1008ha Seashell, the NC10 holds it’s own in the looks department. Samsung have gone for a minimal look, and it is very smart in black as well as a number of other colours now available.
The Samsung NC10 uses the Intel Atom N270 processor, has 1GB of memory and a very generous 160GB hard

drive, all in all, a nice little package which matches, if not exceeds its closest competitors.
Although not quite as “flashy” as other Notebooks such as the MSI Wind, the Samsung more than makes up in performance and value. It has been noted that it’s also easier to use on your lap han the MSI Wind, which is a bigplue point considering that this is where it will spend most of its time.
Samsung NC10 Design and Build
The design of the NC10 is quite minimal, which seems to be the norm with most Notebooks. As with most Notebooks, Samsung has used round edges for the casing of the NC10, which keeps its apearance right up to date. The curved edges gives the NC10 a clean look and the Notebook appears smaller than the dimensions would have you believe. Nice touches include postitioning the power button on the right hand edge of the Notebook, it fits neatly into the design, and clears the interior of the unit, providing a nice clean and uncluttered design.
All outputs and ports are neatly, well positioned, and well mounted. Again this provides a nice smooth, quality finish to the NC10.

The 10.2 inch screen is superb, providing very clear and bright images, meaning it is great for web browsing and viewing pictures and media on the move. Sending emails and writing documents are a pleasure with a great keyboard however, using the touchpad is not quite as easy due to its size. Some people have noted that the touchpad is on the small side and to be honest, we would agree however, when looking at the whole package it really is not much of an issue, and is something that you will soon get used to.
NC10 Performance
This is where the Samsung Notebook really shines. You get a very generous 160GB of storage with the NC10. Add this to the Intel Atom processor and 1GB of memory, and you have a very compact notebook with the performance to rival that of a full size, low to mid priced laptop. The Intel Atom processor has made a massive difference in the performance of Notebooks, and the Samsung has achieved in making the most of this number crunching power. The provision of 160GB’s of storage is a real bonus, and along with 6-7 hours operation time, you really have to consider this Notebook when looking to buy.
