Due out this month (october) is the Asus Eee PC 1201n. So what I hear you all say, so Asus are launching yet another netbook, big deal. Well the difference is that the 1201n will feature the much anticipated NVIDIA Ion graphics processor, meaning HD goodness on a netbook near you soon.
It’s a shame that Asus have decided to inlcude the new Ion chip, but not address the now rather old Intel N270 CPU. 2GB of RAM should help to ease the CPU’s limitations though, and Windows 7 will offer a refreshing change from previous Microsoft attempts at operating systems.
We believe that the release date of the 1201n netbook, could be a little hopeful though, as NVIDIA have not yet made the Ion chip available, and won’t be until mid October – very close, if not too close to the release date of the 1201n.
Check this space for updates on 1201n release dates, and when we can expect to see it in the UK.

*update – The ASUS Eee PC 1201HA has appeared on the radar, with a penned mid november release date, we would expect to see both of these netbooks launching at the same time. We will update again if this changes.
